Wednesday madness

This is just too cute: "The United Nations has confirmed it had offered former US president Bill Clinton the job of UN special envoy for tsunami relief and Mr Clinton had accepted." Clinton: "My task will be to make sure that we will never again in the future get caught with our pants down." Just joking.

This is just
too bizarre: "The CIA is publishing a series of classified reports revising its prewar intelligence assessments of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction... A Jan. 18 report, titled 'Iraq: No Large-Scale Chemical Warfare Efforts Since Early 1990s,' concludes that Saddam Hussein abandoned major chemical weapons programs after the first Gulf War in 1991." The CIA is still pretty average about telling us what's going on at the moment or what might happen in the future, but they're getting pretty damned good at predicting the past.

This is just too bloggy: "Finland receives first PhD in trolls." All of us involved with blogs could contribute.

And this is just
too funny, if it wasn't sad: "Former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev said the Iraqi parliamentary elections cannot be viewed as legitimate. 'What we were observing in Iraq on Sunday, as well as preparations preceding the elections, is very far from what true elections are. And even though I am a supporter of elections and of the transfer of power to the people of Iraq, these elections were fake'." As a lifelong communist, Gorbachev is, of course, an expert on free and democratic elections.
